The Behavioral health component assists us in identifying your child’s temperament and social abilities. If a child cannot self-regulate, socialize with their peers, or has a problem with acting out (i.e., hitting, punching, biting, pulling hair, pinching etc.) we will seek appropriate assistance and guidance to help eliminate problem behaviors. Monthly observations are completed in each classroom to help us see which children may need a little extra assistance. Once children are recognized then we follow up with parents to see what they may do at home that works for them, in addition to letting parents know what we try here and what helps. Again, our mission is to provide a safe and healthy environment for all children where they are able to learn to their fullest. When we assist all children when needed this helps prepare them to be successful in Head Start and the years to come.
